Family Christmas Adventure
Leave the devices at home and take your family for a day of family fun onboard a private sailing charter on beautiful Moreton Bay.
Leave the Christmas rush behind and work together to set sails, crank winches, pull ropes, dangle your legs over the side (only if you wish), be on the lookout for turtles and dugongs, and even steer the vessel all under the guidance of our skipper/instructor.
Bring your own lunch and alcohol welcome.
Things to bring along:
- Food and drinks
- A soft bag for packing your belongings
- Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
- Jacket as it can get cool on the water
- Swimmers
- Snorkeling gear if you have any – the boat does not carry any
- Towel
- Lifejackets are provided
While our public sailing courses follow a set syllabus suitable for older teens and adults, our Family Christmas Adventure enables bespoke sail training for your group to match the ages and abilities onboard. For newcomers or seasoned sailors alike, all participants whether children, parents or grandparents can enjoy a day together learning to sail on beautiful Moreton Bay.
The day starts at 9am and, after the safety briefing and overview of the day, you will untie from the dock, and enjoy the morning sailing on Moreton Bay. Depending upon the day’s wind direction, the instructor will find a protected bay to anchor, so your family can take a break, enjoy lunch (self-catered) and maybe a swim, before afternoon sailing and returning to Manly Harbour around 4pm.
Our fleet of 39-40 foot monohull sailboats offer spacious decks for your family outside, plus inside there is a galley (kitchen with fridge), toilet(s), and additional seating.
Suitable for persons with no sailing experience through to seasoned sailors.
