We have combined two popular half-day courses into a full day Yacht Maintenance course offering students skills and knowledge on their yacht electrics and ropework.
Our Marine Electrics 1/2 day course focuses on 12 and 24V battery systems common to yachts: the battery, charging, circuits and wiring. Students will gain skills wire stripping, splicing, crimping and soldering to enable taking on minor electrics repairs and improvements on their own yachts.
Our Ropework 1/2 day course is an opportunity to learn about different ropes and their uses, and gain whipping and splicing skills for a range of yacht projects including dock lines. Students will practice splicing a three-strand rode and splice Dyneema for the purpose of a soft shackle.
